Although this looks like a Baja ferry carrying only freight, there are passenger ferries available if you want to book PASSAGE! Baja Ferries was established in 1999 because there was an increased demand from companies like Wallmart and Costco for a modern shipping route between mainland Mexico and Baja California. Smaller companies with mixed success had preceeded it, going in and out of business, but this private company looks like it's here to stay.
Because we will be enroute from St. Paul to Mazatlán and busy getting established, I might not be able to immediately restart this blog on Day 1, which is why I am posting the Theme Day early. Hurry back so I can show you Mazatlán, my Paradise!

Nice photo!
Water passage - Nice choice & creative!
Nicely different interpretation. It almost seems like an archaic version of the word now - reminders of women in long satin gowns and orchestras playing as ships played dodge-the-iceberg across the Atlantic!
good luck and hope you have a safe passage
unusual choice Kate, glad to see Mazatlan on the scene again.
happy cdp theme day!
A Baja passage ... Happy theme day and best wishes to enjoy the warm weather.
You have certainly whetted the appetite for Mazatlan. I almost chose harbour passage for mine. Glad I didn't this is a better idea.
Well, I can't wait to see what you have to share with us. I do hope your trip was uneventful.
Can you see Estrella beer, I love them.
I also though of showing a photo from the passage of people to australi, but couldn't find a subject as interesting as this - there's nothing much left in London of those days as a real live dock
Brilliant choice, Kate.So different. Love the interpretation.
Happy Theme Day Kate
Have a safe trip! I have not taken a ferry for a long long long time!
Well, I guess you are there by now and having a ball finding all your stuff. It is still cold here and we still have ice and snow which I know you don't want to hear about since that is probably one reason why you left. LOL
I missed the theme day somehow but I wrote in my Memories blog about the roads of my youth and how they were to travel in the winter time.
Book a passage....
Now, that's a bit of a stretch, Kate....!
I would love to book passage on one of those. My Grandma once had the chance to ride a tug boat from St. Louis to New Orleans, not as big as your ship. She said you didnt even know you were on a tug boat, it was like a slow cruise down the river.
Good thinking on the theme! Lucky you, back in Mazatlan!
