The Best Laid Plans...

Plans can change in a matter of minutes!  Dear Husband slipped and fell on his right shoulder last Friday.  On Monday his doctor sent him to get an MRI.  On Tuesday as we were packing for our getaway to México we got the bad news: rotator cuff surgery required.  Flights and casa were cancelled...so here we are, still in our own casa in St. Paul.  We missed the beginning of the winter season in Mazatlán, México because I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery and now we're missing the latter half because of Jim's surgery and recovery.  Since his pain is increasing, we made the right decision rather than toughing it out in another country.  So from now on, go back to my other blog, Visual St. Paul, and I'll try to post some scintillating Minnesota photos for you!

Since I had the bottom two already scheduled for Mazatlán, I'll leave them on the blog to let you see what we're missing!!

This is a view of Icebox Hill taken on the Malecon, a walk that follows along the ocean for miles. Our casa is located a short distance away, almost at the base of the hill...just a short climb.  Below is a photo of our casa, not ours but wish it were!! And I wish we were there...but another year, another time!!

There must be a very, very good reason why you were meant to stay in Minnesota this year. I wonder if you'll ever discover it. Hope all shoulders respond to medical care and heal completely.

Sorry to hear about Jim's accident. Better safe than sorry, you certainly made the right decision by staying back until he recovers.
Brattcat's positive approach is certainly the best.

Love your little casa in Mazatlan!

Hi, Kate,
Thanks for the comment on my blog. Your pictures here make me miss Mexico so much. We lived on our boat there in the '90s and spent much time in Mazatlan - both the harbor and the marina. I am sorry you are missing your time there but hopefully your husband is doing well and you will be back in no time!

Hi, Just came from Gailsman.
Sorry to hear the double bad news of missing your holls, hope you get there later.

Love the shot of the clock in B/W, really sets the mood, also where you should have been, great shots too.

Thanks for the comment Kate... :) You know, about my photo, it takes some time to get a right composition as you've seen.
About your photo, it's really cool, buildings have a soft colors, except the red one. I'm curious about the one with dome and tower, what kind of building is that?

Sorry to read this and what a coincidence that you both, though at different times, needed the same surgery. :(
