Theme Day, March, 2015-Aging

Matazlán has a mixture of buildings in El Centro, the old part at of the city.  Next to some stunningly homes, there are aging structures that need a lot of TLC. Tomorrow I will show you one of the more attractive renovated structures.

Click here to see how other CDP bloggers have interpreted the "aging" theme for this month.

The ancient is so photogenic...at least to my way of thinking.

There's something about that one on the left that sticks with me. Age or beauty... the dilemma.

hopefully many of the aging structures will be renovated .. in New Mexico our uncle took a ruins similar this and turned it into an stunningly beautiful villa .. retaining the original character is also a plus when renovating.

I agree with Birdman Kate, the image to the left has much charm, aged structures often do. Have you much more time left in Mexico?

Love this style of building, new or old.

PS. You have moved on from Santa Fe. I didn't realise.

I guess a lesson is that whether people or buildings, we all need some extra attention to maintenance as the years pass by.

Well worn, by the look. Nicely chosen, Kate.

Peter has adjusted the crop on the Theme Day portal listing for you, Kate.

A country with thousands of years of history has a noose around its neck to some extent. The heritage upkeep is phenomenal, and not everything aged is of equal value. Choices have to be made.

Many thanks for, once again participating in the CDP Theme Day. Much appreciated.

Age has a beauty all it's own.

Very nice theme picture on aging.

I have mine up. I did miss the entry but left up on my blog.

I liked Mexico when I visited. Especially the beaches so lovely and clean and clear.
