Guest Photo

Last year I posted a fantastic photo of a diver, which was photographed by Roger from Edmonton, Canada. This year he took this sunset photo from the lobby of his newly-purchased condo. If you want to see the diver, click here. Thanks, Roger, for letting me share your photos!

A Tribute to Virginia Tech

Like the rest of the world, I watched with a heavy heart the tragedy of Virginia Tech. My symbolic tribute includes a setting sun for the lives lost that day, but the unlighted lamp-post holds out hope for a brighter period in the lives of the victims' friends and families. Sunset

The Freeman Hotel, one of the earliest in Mazatlan, just recently got a face lift and is part of the Best Western Hotel chains. A pleasant evening can begin with a visit to the rooftop to see one of the spectacular sunsets in Mazatlan's sky. I frequently go up to the 12th floor to get a bird's eye view of the surrounding city, and if I'm lucky, I capture some fabulous sunsets. This is one of my favorites.
