Pedicure, anyone?

Although I'm now home in St. Paul, MN I couldn't pass up the chance to post this photograph that I took at the Central Mercado for this month's theme day.

Chicken feet! When you buy a fresh chicken on the market here, you get the head and feet....

My pet store sells smoked chicken feet, which Bibi loves.

Great choice for the feet theme day.

But this does not make me hungry.

Mazatlan feet meet Mexico feet! Chicken feet greet tourist fee! Yummy to eat feet, a treat?! Feet on a sheet! Dead meat feet! Hello Kate feet from Eagan feet who greet from my suburban street!

ooh ... are they for sale ... are chicken feet used in Mexican cuisine and I'm not aware ... or was this from a butchers shop and they are to be discarded ... not a scene easily found in Saint Paul or Greenville ... although I'm sure our local butcher is quite familiar with the scene.

Oh my mother would have a field day eating these feet. She loved them and I used to get the necks to eat.

Not nice, but perfect for the theme!

How do the Mexicans cook them?

Ha, ha1 I remember my grandmother cooking these up and my granddad and uncle Paul fighting over who got to eat them. Pretty slim pickins in my book.

Furtado.
