this one surprises me. I've been imagining Mazatlan as flat and inland some miles from the ocean--you can tell I've never been to Mexico! That hill with the town perched above the ocean looks lovely, but formidable. I'll bet you're enjoying having a beach that close, however. jan 2/12/07
