El Centro, the historic part of Old Town, has buildings that are being restored and others that are still terribly rundown or merely rubble. This corner is graced with a blossoming tree.

Kate!!! So good to have you back in DPland!

Hope you've been well and the move was smooth and painless. Thanks for the audio teaser. You have a lovely voice. Just as i expected it would be.

Ah, but you are on the list (funny spelling), and Ham, or was it Denton, posted your e-mail at forum so we would all know that you are back. You're teasing me with that gorgeous flowering tree. We are frozen solid here.

This photo is what I would hope to see in Mexico. Sad to hear there are buildings in such dis-repair ... I will fix my spelling mistake on our common set of Daily Photo links this evening.

You're alive and well and of course missing all the fantastic temperatures up here in the frozen part of the world.

But of course I'm still shopping at the malls. In Cottage Grove, you can do your basic shopping there, but if you want anything special, I must travel a distance for it, having a family, kids, work, I must maximize my time and the malls, any mall nearby usually does the job.

There you are!

We closed on the sale of our home in Virginia today, and this tree reminds me of one in our front yard there. Time to settle down in Delta!

The photo with the tree in bloom is especially appealing, although here in Chicago suburbs 2/12/07, the morning temperature just before dawn is up to 15 degrees. However, we're scheduled for -7 overnight in a day or so. jan
