In the distance you can see the curve of land and the Malecon, the boardwalk along the Pacific Ocean. In its first edition guidebook MTV:Best of Mexico reports, "Mazatlan's Malecon is one of the city's premier attractions. It is the second longest in the world, stretching 22km (14 miles) from
Valentino's complex all the way down to Olas Altas Beach in the historic district. It's broad enough for in-line skating, jogging, or cycling, and it allows for easy access to the beach." Only 15 more days before I return to Minnesota and lose my part of Paradise.

Wow, that went by quickly, Kate! I thought that you were going to be there a lot longer.
I love the photo today, it looks like tropical South Pacific islands! Beautiful colors & the sea & waves look so inviting :-)
hi, sorry I've been so scarce, the hamster wheel is whizzing around here and i'm battling to cling to it! I can't believe two and a half months has gone by, bet it has whizzed by for you too, especially as you have been so active and involved. This is a stunning view, a stroll down that boardwalk sounds like bliss! Love the metal balcony too.
Oh, what a beautiful view of that glorious place! Such a nice photo, Kate.
Only fifteen days left? :(
Is this the view from your place? Breathtaking...And I would certainly utilize that boardwalk daily in any form or shape ;-)
I know how you feel Kate - I go through this every year! But Spring in MN is a joyful time, is it not?
Just one word: Wow...!
This is how I remember Mazatlan! I wish I'd started watching your blog 2 1/2 months ago! Maybe winter would have seemed shorter here in Ontario. What do you think?
Wow! That is beautiful. Makes me homesick for California. Very lovely.
Beautiful view. Will you be leaving for good or is it just a trip?
It is indeed a paradise.
Enjoy rest of stay, Kate.
Dear Kate: Your watch showing Mazatlan's time is one hour ahead. We're not going into daylight saving time until after Easter week. I know you don't control this but I wanted you to know.
Thanks for the good photos but regreting you're going back to your home town very soon.
Don't forget you have many new friends here that will be looking forward to find news from you at your web sites.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you for that beautiful view. What memories you will bring back home. Too bad you can't bring back the warm weather too.
Looks like paradise indeed! In 15 days, spring will be defintely back in Minesota; don't worry!
Oh, my goodness, how absolutely beautiful! I remember when you posted the amazing Valentino's Complex.
Hope the two weeks goes v v v slowly.
That's so beautful! I've never been there, but I can understand why people go there.
Oh no you are in countdown. It must be really hard to have to think about leaving there.
That is beautiful!!! Stunning!
If you leave in 15 days, so do we!!!
Wow! What a stunning view from this balcony! Truly amazing and beautiful!
WOW....this is Beautiful!
Time really flies with you're having FUN!!
Beautiful spot.
Ooooh ahhhh Kate!
A tourist shot from time to time is so wonderful! I just love this!
15 days, eh? Less now, sorry to depress you. Sorry to hear that.. Man this is a gorgeous view. I'm thinking a screensaver, an escape from snowy reality.
But we have done our best to rid the Cities of this lousy snow. We now can see what we forgot to rake up last fall. Snow expected by Friday...it won;t last long. I suggest staying longer. Or, bring back a few cases of tequilla, I wouldn't mind that at all.
