I love that night shot. That is an amazing building! It's not spring here yet, but by the time you get home it might be close to a tolerable temperature. I think that you'll miss that sun, sea, and sand, though :-)

Beautiful night scene, Kate! Well, sadly, tomorrow your trip must end. We did our best to rid the Twin Cities of snow for you. Tomorrow, or so the weatherboy says, mid 50's and afternoon rain. Well, it ain't the 80's that you were used to, but then again, its better than the snowy alternative. Oh shoot, I said snow.

We were in Maz the same time as you were, in the old anchorage next to El Faro. Sailed north on Monday 4/28, a 4-day voyage. My favorite area in Maz is Plazuela Machado, and I walked there from the anchorage a number of times, on my way to the Mercado. Great shots of Valentino's, too!
Whether you see it at night with the show of coloured lights or during the day, Valentino's is a unique building for this city.

oh, magical, either way, it has such a unique look! Reminds me of fanciful sand castles, but without the fake plastic look of Disneyland!
