This is a shot of just a small section of the miles-long crowds forming along the Malecon hours before the parade started. We were lucky to be above the crowds on a condo terrace owned by friends of ours. It, too, was crowded with other tenants and their friends, families, and visitors. I suspected that Jaime who hates crowds was not as enthralled with the festivities as I.

il y a du monde, mais j'imagine que le spectacle est superbe
there are a lot of people, but I imagine that show is superb
Colorful crowd
Good click
This is a really large group of people to see a parade. I don't think a local politician would draw such a large number. It might be the local high school band and a collection of odds and ends driving old cars and new ones hauling pretty girls but I don't think so. I am guessing President Obama visited.

Huge crowds always make me nervous.
I'm a little wary of crowds myself but it seems as if you had a great vantage point up there.
wohoo so many people, and you had the best seats =)
At least you had a good view!
I'm become so used to a samll island that when I go over to the UK crowds bother me, but in France no.
A good sign that a great parade is about to pass by.
Wow, lots of people and so colorful. What an exciting time to be there.
