Stone Island is my favorite beach in Mazatlán. After a short boat ride, the beaches, coconut grove and many restaurants, especially Lety's and Carmelita's, offer a pleasant, relaxing day. The many vendors are a constant presence, but they're polite and friendly without being aggressive. I'd like to buy one of everything from them because their work is hard and arduous.

Stunning photo-with-a-story
Lovely shot, Kate. We have guys like this who walk around the beach, hats piled on their heads. I never know how they manage to balance.
Vendor? I think he just couldnt decide which hat to wear so he brought them all.
Ohhh Dear Kate!
I want that first one! Soooo cute!
Wonderful post!

What a great capture! I've seen this before, not sure if it was in Mexico or not, but I wasn't able to get a proper shot...
Nice portrait. It's not the kind of job I'd like to do either, but you have to admire them. I'm sure it's not easy being friendly to the tourists all the time. :)
That should keep the sun off of his head! Lol!
Fantastic shot!
At least the guy is well protected against the sun, but I imagine he may be suffering from the heat anyway! :-)
Hi Kate, great catch of this vendor. How is Mazatlan in Semana Santa, crowded I guess. Greetings from MC.
We have a bit of rain at the moment - maybe this is the way to keep the rain out of what is left of my hair??
