Photographing anything on the sea is very tricky because of the sunlight, water, and reflections. Within a few minutes of each other about 4:30 pm I took several photos of this sailboat in the foreground and commercial shrimp boat way out in the ocean. Each photo turned out distinctly different from one another because of the rapidly changing sunlight. I posted this one because it is my husband's favorite.

looks like a very peaceful place to watch boats. wonderful picture.
photo de rêve, elle est superbe. bravo a la photographe.
Photo dream, it is superb. Bravo to the photographer.
I love the big sailboat. Those sails send me. Lovely late afternoon light.
I was watching a National Geographic photographer the other day and he happened to say something like this "plane" matches that one so there should be no differences to account for when I take the picture.
When there are differences, like you have with the boats, then the results can, apparently, vary all over the place.
Still, Kate, it is a beautiful photograph.
Of course we haven't seen the other ones, but this one has a wonderful light!
As usual, I was absent from blogging during the weekend, so I have just now also admired your posts about music, theatres, churches... Seems to be a fabulous place!
This is just lovely, Kate. Almost black and white yet gold The light is beautiful.
I have not seen the others but this one is beautiful! And I agree with you, the sea is always good for inspiration!
Nice photo, with the sea gold color.
WHAT AN AMAZING SHOT, KATE!!!!!!!!!
Your husband made a good choice! I like it very much, the light on the water is beautiful.
this is really beautiful, gorgeous, peaceful shot.
That shrimp boat even looks a bit like a shrimp. Fractals, anyone.
You asked what the bathhouse looks like inside. It's been years since I was inside but I remember a long porch with chairs, tiled bathrooms, big claw-footed tubs with swirling water, quiet rooms with massage tables, large fluffy robes and towels.
Hi Kate, thanks for your nice comment and for sent me Maggi's photo. I updated and Maggi in on my post now. I think Olivia will like it.
Love the light! Wistful photo, isn't it?
