One practice that is very different from mine is the presence of dogs on roofs of buildings, both public and private, used as a means of security. Some are very intimidating. He looks like a good watch dog. Our neighbor has a dalmation, they seem to be very smart dogs. I would be afraid it would jump off the roof after a cat

Beautiful dalmation. Down the street, there is an apartment on the second floor and a dog who spends his time on the roof of the porch of the apartment below. I always look for him on my walks.

Wow, I wasn't aware of such a practice of having dogs on roofs. That's a very beautiful dog. I think I feel like it's better security to have my dog on the other side of my door ;-)
They are pretty dogs. I know it's the preferred dog of Richard Simmons (the fitness guru).
