This bench covered by an artist's quilt resides in the courtyard in the home of a woman who designs lovely quilts, wall hangings, and various other utilitarian, artistic objects. Her studio and other artists' studios were open during a recent art crawl.

I love the quilt!
This bench looks much softer than yesterday's bench! I could curl up on this bench with the beautiful quilt.
The quilt really suits that bench. I hope you'll be showing us more from the artist's studios
I like the bench, and the tile floor and the quilt. Those three things go together like art studios I used to see and visit in 1952 in Tucson, Arizona. Nice photograph too.
Thanks for stopping and commenting on my black flags.
send me the quilt and bench! love the rustic look
Oh, that is lovely:) Made me warm and smile...
Beautiful bench and even more beautiful quilt. Oh the colours of Mexico...

WOW, that is beautiful! I love the quilt!
That quilt is simply gorgous. it goes well on the wooden bench.
Now just to curl up with this lovely quilt and take a nap...one more thing...can you bring me a soft pillow? :-) Oh ok...I'll fetch it myself.
LL-Right now I don't have the answers to your question, but Mary, the artist, lives not too far from my apt. so I'll drop by and ask her for you!! It may take a few days but I'll let you know! Incidentally, the evenings here in Mazatlan can get quite chilly so a blanket or quilt is good to have handy! And, I think that they are often used as colourful spreads.
My mom would have loved this!
I was just checking here to see if Carol had been here yet - and yup! Sure enough, she's first in. :) It is indeed a lovely quilt.
Very nice quilt. My aunt sewed me a beautiful quilt a couple years ago and warned me never to wash it in the machine. So I never use it because I'm afraid I would get it dirty.
How does one keep it clean and yet not relegate it to the back of the closet?
I propose we all make a trip to Mazatlan to visit Kate and see some quilts.
How does next week sound?
What beautiful colours! I have such admiration for quilters - they put so much into their art, in terms of time, energy and love.
